All eyes turned as the procession began. Blinking back tears, we felt the room go quiet all at once. The live music was an elegant sound, foreshadowing the beauty that was unfolding before our eyes. Flower petals continued to hit the floor, and we realized something special was happening.... Bobby and Kira's sweet grandmothers were walking down the isle, making a way for the bride, as their flower girls. Tears streamed down cheeks, smiles spread across each face, and big hugs were shared among the guests. The tears welled up in his eyes, and we all knew this was the moment Bobby had been waiting for... his bride was coming. The big beautiful ceremony doors opened wide, letting the warm light fill the room. The guests stood in awe of Kira; wearing her grandmother's sixty-year-old wedding dress that was passed down from her grandmother, to her mother, and now to Kira... wow, she was flawless- absolutely beautiful and elegant; just as we all imagined she would be. The vows were said, the rings exchanged- and we then watched a beautiful moment of two celebrating their new oneness in their first communion as husband and wife. After the wedding kiss was made, the rest is beautiful, documented history.. The ceremony one of the most emotional, and beautiful ceremonies we have ever experienced, and as if that were not enough, the ENTIRE wedding day was one of a kind. So much time, thought, and love went into this day; and boy, was it so apparent and so special!
Bobby and Kira, thank you for letting Taylor and I be a part of this amazing wedding day and now friends of yours in your many days together as husband and wife! We love you guys.
