First off, my mouth hasn't stopped watering since I started writing this post....  I mean, just look at that meat. Seriously, so so delicious.
Today's #TippidyTuesday post is all about food! Not just any food... the Wedding Day Food!

Don't forget to EAT

It might sound obvious, but believe me and any other past Bride's when we say that "food just slipped my mind that day". Even though you know you are hungry, you are also very nervous, excited, and just so full of joy; that food is the last thing you are worried about... when, really it should be the one thing you do worry about!

Again, Eat!

My Wedding day went by so quickly, that I also did not only not think about eating, but I didn't have much time to eat!
Here are a few tricks I used and wish I used!
Picture

Make it easy to access in the morning

Have easy finger food while everyone is getting ready.
- Sandwiches, fruit, chips, cheese & crackers, etc. & WATER
in both getting ready rooms, and enough to feed everyone but not too much because some of it can go to waste (like some of ours did).

Force Feed
Even though you might feel sick to your stomach, too excited/anxious, not hungry, etc.. you HAVE to eat something, especially before you walk down the aisle.
While you are getting your hair done, is a great time!
Once you walk down the aisle, it is literally non stop.. you take pictures, you greet guests, you have introductions, you "sit for dinner" (while guest after guest comes to talk and take pictures with you). you then have all the dances, and it is a whirlwind of fun.. but you will be sorry if you didn't get a bite to eat earlier!!

Quiet/Alone Time
Have your DJ announce to the guests that the Bride and Groom would like 10 minutes alone to have their first meal together as husband and wife, and that you will make their rounds to the tables and to the guests when you are finished spending this time together.

I can guarantee that some guests will STILL come up to the sweetheart table! But at least then its only a small handful and not one guest at a time from the entire guest list!

Cake
Eat your wedding cake!
We made the mistake of jumping right back onto the dance floor after we cut the cake, and even though they saved us the top,
we hardly had a chance to eat it on the honeymoon either, and it went bad while we were on our road trip.
Ours was SO delicious (from even just the 3 bites I got), that I literally regret not eating more. If you are anything like us, you spent time cake tasting, and choosing it to be something that YOU liked, and that you put time, thought, and of course MONEY into this cake,
so please please eat more than just a bite that your groom shoves in your face at the cake cutting!

Even though you tried....

If your wedding day is anything like most wedding days,
and you tried to eat, but just couldn't... then do what most bride's and groom's do after the wedding... go through a drive through or better yet, go sit in a restaurant in your wedding dress and tux!
(you might just get some sort of freebie from them!) but you definitely want to eat on the road before you get to your suite, because you will feel sick and even more exhausted otherwise!

Take it to go!
The last option is to have your caterer's make a little care package/doggie bag, with some food for you to go. This way you can go straight to your suite, AND still get to eat that delicious meal that you spent some cash on already!

I hope you enjoyed these tips!
