Taylor and I are getting married in 9 days!!!! What?!!! Where did time go!?
I wanted to do a personal post about how Taylor and I met and one of the funniest stories we have.
I  am just going to jump right into it...
So I have known this cutie since we were 2 years old!...

We always knew of each other as that "2 years" friend, all through elementary and middle school. Then in high school he left Calvary(while I stayed), and we went our separate ways. Long story short... I ran into him one day at the beach... June 28th to be exact.
Then the  V E R Y   N E X T   day... I was driving to soccer practice and pulled up next to him at a stop light?!!!! Seriously though what are the odds that the same guy I have not seen or talked to in years somehow sees me two days in a row, in completely different areas and opposite cities, in our cars, at a random stop light, right next to each other. God knew what he was doing, we say! The rest is history!

Here comes the fun part!!! A funny story, a great read if you need a laugh!

So for my 20th Birthday Taylor decided to take me to some mountain, that I honestly have never heard of. It was out in Anza.
The entire way out there....by entire I mean like 2 hours.... he was swearing by how much I will love this place!
On our way up he sees a giant mud puddle, and says "Hey! that looks like fun, lets go off roading..." and me always being the dubby downer- careful voice of reason.. automatically shut it down.

We finally get to the top part of the mountain, and did not go in the mud! ... oh, and he was right, it was gorgeous! It was so fun, We were able to play in some snow, rock climb, and our favorite-explore.
Well towards the end of the day, as it is getting dark, we decide to call it a day and make our way back into real life. On our way back down the hill, still about an hour from the main road, and without cell reception, Taylor decides to quickly decide for both of us that it would now be a great idea to go off-roading in that same pile of mud we passed on the way up....
As soon as I saw what he was doing I said 'NO! NO! Don't, we are going to get stuck!!!!" but as we all know "boys know everything"... and he did it anyway! As soon as I said " we are going to get...." that was when I felt us begin to sink, and the engine start to roar.
I immediately flipped out, and became so mad at him! (Which I now regret- sorry babe).Well  we started thinking of ways to get out. and had to climb out the window, onto the hood of the truck and then onto land because we were so deep in the mud that if we opened the doors we would have been flooded. I looked for big sticks to put under the tires, while he .. well I don't remember what he did during that. Then he wanted us to start looking for cell reception... well bad news- there was none! There we are, in the middle of no where-- stuck--- with no form of communication, and with my birthday dinner with my family in an hour and a half!
So after running about a mile down the road, I finally got reception and made call to my friend to tell her to tell everyone in my family that my birthday dinner was now cancelled because it was now an hour away from when we were supposed to be there... but an hour away from anyone coming to try to help us. Taylor lost me, and was getting upset ( I think he thought I disappeared). Well I had to call our friend Zach who was the only one who knew where Taylor was- he was the one who told Taylor about this place!
So, I finally came back and found Taylor, as he was putting road signals (lights/big sticks) out, for people to see. I completely opposed to this because I thought that it would suck if it was kidnappers that came to our rescue.. or something bizarre of that sort.
An hour later Zach shows up to our recue with his siren/lights blaring...
After several attempts to drag our truck out of the mud with one rope and a small pickup, we finally succeeded!
And down the hill we went--covered in mud, sweat, and tears.... We took Zach out for CiCi's Pizza,  and rescheduled my birthday dinner.
So we did not die, and it was not the end of the world--- so I guess it really wasn't as terrible of a day as I felt like it was back then!
After that incident, and several other mishaps with the outdoors.. we were banned by our friends and family from doing anything outdoors or "adventurous" until after the wedding! So to say we are excited for our Yosemite Honeymoon would be an understatement!

I hope you enjoyed our terribly fun story, and I will get back to blogging and working when I get back from my honeymoon with my hubby!
Stay lovely friends,
-Karissa
